Every church is different and unique. Each one is made up of different people serving God in their specific context. Nevertheless each church shares a common heritage going back to Christ and the Apostles. The Apostle Peter gives us some rich teaching on the nature of the church in his first letter in the New Testament. We’ve heard some of this over the past couple of weeks and we will delve further into it today as we begin 1 Peter 2. The challenge is to be the church God calls us to be and help others come to faith in Jesus.
