Adulthood is a time of responsibility and maturity, challenges and celebrations. St Alfred's has a wide range of activities and groups for adults, all of which exist to help us grow and support each other in our responsibilities and experiences.
Many adults meet mid-week in small groups to get to know one another and God better, and to serve others.
A range of activities exist for men: monthly breakfasts, an annual weekend away, small groups, courses, prayer triplets, working bees, informal dinners, mentoring, and a wrestling group (Jacob's Gym)! Some men lead a fortnightly group for primary-aged boys. Others help in our Sunday School and music teams. Some men are mentors in our local primary and secondary schools. There is a team of men involved in practical ministries through the A-Team and LinC.
For more information contact Bill Austin or the church office.
Our women's ministry has a calendar of regular events including breakfasts, small groups, a weekend away and special interest groups (eg craft, gardening, walking, books). We might have an occasion with a guest speaker and a meal. Our topics can range from chocolate to car maintenance to prayer! A team of creative women coordinates this wide range of activities.
