Getting connected at St Alfred's is about relationships that get beneath the surface. That kind of relationship won’t come by simply attending worship services. Whether kids or adults, all of us need time each week with a smaller group of people who can get to know us personally, share life with us, and encourage us to pursue Jesus Christ.

Kids

Children are a precious gift from God. We're blessed with heaps of kids of all ages at St Alf's! To grow spiritually and socially children need age-appropriate groups to play and learn in. They also need to be welcomed and accepted in all-age worship and family activities.

Youth

Youth minstry photo of young people in a groupAdolescence is an exciting but often confusing time of life. Many teenagers struggle to navigate the 'perfect storm' of puberty, school, family, friends. At a very deep level, they're asking 'Who Am I?'

Our youth ministry anchors teenagers in Jesus, God's Word, and positive connections with friends and leaders. We also work hard to help our teens represent Jesus in their schools. A good deal of mentoring takes place between our youth and leaders.

Young Adults

Young adults ministry imageYoung adulthood is an exciting stage of life. Independence, ability and adventure are all features. What difference can I make? Which relationships really matter to me? What exciting experiences will I pursue? What does it mean to be a young adult Christian? Our mission is to help young adults make sense of the world with Jesus Christ in the centre.

Most of our young adults are part of the Sunday 6pm evening service and involved in mid-week small groups. We have an active weekly prayer meeting, a monthly Saturday breakfast programme and occasional weekends away.

Adults

Group imageAdulthood is a time of responsibility and maturity, challenges and celebrations. St Alfred's has a wide range of activities and groups for adults, all of which exist to help us grow and support each other in our responsibilities and experiences.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care image of hands reaching outLife is a challenging business! Pastoral care is the process by which we support one another in the business of life. Real care in a crisis can mean the difference between surviving and thriving.

At St Alfred's we have multiple levels of care: informal relationships, intentional small group ministry, mature Christian carers and professional pastoral care staff. Every members is encouraged to play their part within our many smaller study and ministry groups.
